A Star is born

Hi there, well we are into our last challenge of the year,over at the ADU facebook page, how that has flown, even with everything that has been going on in the world.

The challenge for December is  "Make it square" and I know before you say anything mine has a scalloped edge....but everything else on the card is square, plus I'm in the process of changing craft rooms and I couldn't find my plain square cards.

I have used A Star is Born for my image, my granddaughter is in her first nativity at school, she is going to be a camel lol, I coloured it with copics and used Trimcraft papers.

Ski Season

 Hi there, well Autumn has certainly arrived, there's piles of golden leaves everywhere on our daily walk now, such beautiful colours, and the weather has definitely changed very dark and damp.

But on a lighter note we have a wonderful challenge for you on Facebook this month. How about kick starting your Christmas cards if you haven't already, the theme is

"Feeling Christmassy"

I really wanted to have most of my cards done by now as I'm moving my craft room, what an upheaval I never knew I had so much stuff. Hubby has always teased me about reinforcing the floor but I think he's right, I've filled the work skip already and I've not even started properly. Oh well it will be so much better once it's finished if I ever get it done.

This card is using Ski Season that I coloured with copics,  I covered the image with a sheet of  double sided sticky , then rubbed in Twinklets Diamond Dust, very carefully as its finely ground glass you could use a fine clear glitter if you have one. Added a few pom poms and a glittered chipboard snowflake.

Sharing at Christmas

Hiya, it's time for a new challenge on the ADU Facebook page and the theme for this month is

Hi there, today I would like to share with you one of the new releases at All dressed up stamps, this one is called the mermaid gang, it comes as a group like this or individually so very versatile.

I coloured with copics and used some perfect pearls on the tails. The papers are Carta Bella pads, Beach Boardwalk and Summer Lovin'  I really love this company there papers are unique.

I also popped a few charms on from my stash, I really wanted a crab but alas I didn't have one.

My Father's Day

Hi there, and Happy Father's Day to all you Dads out there, I thought I would share my Father's card today, Dad has been a lifelong supporter of Nottingham Forest, so I've done a footballer in their colours. He loved it. The background is Distress inks and I used copics to colour this Doctor Digi image called Dunderton Accademicals FC, I have added a bit of Glossy Accents to his glasses

I made a mistake colouring the background, I put my clouds on upside down, so I fussy cut her out and made a new background out of watercolour paper and distress inks, to be totally honest I much prefer this background any way, a Happy Accident. The image I coloured with copics.

Llama Father's Day

Hiya, I hope your all enjoying the warm weather, I've been missing in action for a while, my craft room is in the attic bedroom which gets the afternoon and evening sun, it is gorgeous in the winter but unbearable in this heat, so I've been vegetating down stairs with my crochet.

I made this card last week when I was feeling a bit nostalgic with my rubber stamps. 

I've used Stampscapes inc. Country chapel set for this Father's Day card, distress ink background on glossy card. The kraft paper is from a 12x12 set from The Works.

Polaroid Father's Day

Hiya, I hope your all safe and chillaxing, I thought I ought to get on with my Father's Day cards, fancied a change from my Digi's today and found an old sheet of stamps I bought at a local craft fair a few years ago, I'm not sure what make they are, I just remember getting them as I thought they would make a great background or frame a digi, anyway I think this reminds me of  the old polaroid photos you use to get .

Distress ink background, stazon ink, Anna Marie dotty paper and a winter tree with a fence die I got from a charity shop the Dad is a chipboard I coloured with copic and used glossy accents to make it all shiny.

Spring has Sprung

Hi there, hope your not going stir crazy yet! I must say I seem to be slipping into some crazy sleep patterns, I'm getting later and later going to bed, it was gone one o'clock in the morning last night, then I'm tossing and turning all night , finally drift off to sleep and can't wake up in the morning, I didn't get up until half nine. My hubby is no help, in fact he is worse than me.

Still at least it gives me time to catch up with my crocheting and colouring.

Snuggle Bunny

Hi there, hope your all keeping safe and well, I found myself with a day to play this week, I usually visit my Mum, who is in a care home,at the weekends, but unfortunately it is closed to visitors at the moment due to the virus. I'm hoping its open next week for Mothering Sunday, we will have to wait and see, its more important that they are kept virus free. 

So what to do on an unexpected day, make an Easter card of course .

I used one of Sassy Cheryl's images, Noah and his Bunny Bandit and also My Little Snuggle Bunny for the sentiment, I coloured with copics, used Prima Forever Young papers and found a wooden Easter Egg in the drawer.

Two Little Fairy Mice

We have some wonderful new releases at All dressed up stamps this month,

I was lucky enough to play with two-little-fairy-mice I loved these with there stripy leggings and fluffy skirts. I used some glitter pens on the wings which has given them a lot of sparkle in real life but not on the photo that I'm afraid I took at eight o'clock last night, I know I'm not organised at all this month. I made the backing paper with stormy skies distress ink and a cloud template i made, the rest I coloured with copics.

Beautiful Sprites from Aurora Wings

 and last but by no means least is my favorite Agapanthus-Sprite, I know your not supposed to have them , but as soon as I saw her I thought Wedding, I haven't decided on a sentiment yet, so I will add that later, I have used pearl pink card, run through a heart embossing folder and a few gems added here and there. There is also some liquid pearls on her dress and flowers.
