A Field of Flowers

It's new release day at All dressed up stamps  and I was lucky enough to play with A field of flowers, she  reminds me of a little girl making snow angels but in a field of wild flowers, she is so cute. I coloured her with copics and used Memories Baby Blue for the sky and Distress ink Bundled Sage, Pine Needles and Twisted Citron for the grass using a Lawn Fawn Grassy Hillside stencil.. I found a little wooden ladybird in my bit box that I thought fitted perfectly.

Something girly from All Dressed Up Stamps

Hi there, well where did February go, I can't believe it's March already, but that does mean it's time for a new facebook challenge  and the theme for this month is "Something Girly" just perfect  for Mother's Day, which is March 27th in the UK.

I have used an image called Love my ipad I replaced the ipad word with Mum, coloured her with copics, used Echo Park sweet day paper, glossy accents, some flowers and dots from my stash.

Camper Valentine's Card

a place to start Hi there, I thought I would share my DT inspiration cards with you for the February ADU FaceBook challenge, the theme this month is "Romance, Red and Hearts" so I opted for Romance and hearts.

I have gone a bit crazy and made three, (thats what having a month off does to you), no I've been making cards for my corner shop ha ha,

The first one is using the Just married  stamp, I deleted the just married sign and added heart die cuts for the headlights and a few clouds,  then I paper pieced the camper using some Anna Marie card and I coloured using copics.

The second is the Happy valentine's  that I coloured with Spectrum Noir pens.

 Hiya, Wendy has truly spoilt us this month with an amazing set of Christmas images,

I got to play with Christmas hugs , is she not the cutest little girl, there is also a couple of Bears and an adorable little doggy.

I coloured mine with copics, used Dovecraft Back to Basics papers, Molotow white pen, a foiled sentiment and three poinsettia flowers, can't remember where they was from only that I got them from the NEC show years ago.

Christmas Snuggle

Hi there, are you ready yet? No me neither, nowhere near to be honest, but what's done is done the rest will be forgotten about. 

The theme for this months card challenge is "Celebrate" and what better way to celebrate than a Christmas Snuggle and that is exactly what i have used for todays card, BONUS if you pop over to Kit and Clowder facebook group for a certain amount of time (not sure how long)  the wonderful Wendy is giving you this image to play with for free, you just need to be a member of both groups. What a great early Christmas present.

I have coloured with copics, used a bit of PET pure glitter on the star, Dovecraft back to basics paper and a Dovecraft brad.

Sledging Pup

Hi there, hope you all had a great Halloween, we had two of our grandchildren come to stay with us for the weekend, there was parties and games galore, I'm exhausted now they've gone back home.

 it's challenge time again at the ADU Facebook group and this months theme is 

 CHRISTMAS AND / OR SPARKLE

I managed to get this card finished in the nick of time, in fact the glue is still wet as I took the photo.

I have used the lovely Sledging pup that I coloured with copics, layered a piece of blue card with some snowflake acetate from my Crafters Companion days and then some white pearlescent card for the snow, the wooden text was actually of my Christmas cake last year that I had saved, I never throw anything away that I think could be recycled.

Hedgehog Flower

Hi there, it's time for the New release over at All dressed up stamps and I got to play with Hedgehog flower and I loved every minute of it. I coloured with copics, made my own background paper with an Imagination Crafts stencil called Leaf Swirl and Distress ink Shabby Shutters, the leaves and Thanks are Die cuts. I needed a thank you card for one of my lovely customers, I took her new cushions back for her and her room is full of crochet, she had made scatter cushions, doilies, antimacassars , they were so beautiful and delicate. Before lockdown I taught myself to crochet using YouTube and now I'm addicted, every spare minute I get I have a hook in my hand, well after I had finished swooning over my customers work, a few days later a parcel arrived with two crochet pattern books in, they are amazing so I am now in the process of making a mandala wall hanging for our new log cabin, I will post some pictures when it is eventually done. So this is a Thank you card for my customer.

It's time for a new challenge on the Facebook All Dressed Up page and the theme for this month is 2AUTUMN AND/OR halloween2

I created my card using an  All Dressed Up image called Autumn wreath  that I coloured with copics, I then die cut my wreath using watercolour card and added a hint of paint to the tips.

It is certainly Autumnal here today, we have so much leaf litter blowing round the garden and it feels cold, it's the first time I have worn a wooly jumper in months.

Hippie Chick

 Hi there, it's time for a new challenge on ADU facebook groupand this months theme is

"Winged Things"

What a fun theme, I chose Hippie Chick to play with that I coloured with copics and a glitter pen, Background paper is Firefly collection from Prima, and a little chip it sentiment.

We have had a bank holiday in the UK this weekend and boy did we need that extra day, on Saturday we went to visit my youngest son and his family, they have just moved into a new house and we went to give it a once over, it is a gorgeous loads more room than they had before and just a 5 min walk to their school. On Sunday went to see my oldest son and his family as it was my youngest Grandsons third birthday, we had an indoor picnic, we bought him a Dinosaur dress up costume that roars and his eyes flash red, it went down a storm. Then today Monday we finally got the roof on the garden studio we are building in the garden, so at least it is now water tight in case it rains. I will be pleased to get back to work for a rest.

Duck Swim

Hi there, it's that time again, and this is one of my faves, the theme this month is 

" BE SQUARE"

As you have probably guessed by now I love my square cards, I do try occasionally to do a different shape, in fact a couple of weeks ago I ordered myself some DL dies, but I haven't plucked up courage to use them yet, I see everyone else's beautiful cards but when I sit in my craftroom I get no inspiration, guess a visit to pinterest is called for.

Well I have used all dressed up's new one called duck swim that I coloured with copics, and used Distress ink Salty Ocean, Scattered Straw, Rusty Hinge, Evergreen Bough and Mermaid Lagoon for the background.

Father and Daughter

 Hiya, I was very honored to be asked to make two cards.

A friend in the village had not had contact with his daughter for over twenty years, and before lockdown they managed to reunite.

His lovely wife asked me to make them a card each, so that when the cards were placed side by side they made one picture, and this is what I came up with.

I  used Distress inks for the background and some Clarity stamps I've had for years for the foliage, the trees, deer and birds were cut out of black card with some dies, the stag is four layers deep as I wanted him to stand out a bit.

The customer loved them, she wrote her own messages inside.

Pool Party

Hi there it's time for some new releases at All Dressed Up etsy shop and I got to play with Pool party, isn't she adorable with her polka dot bikini and pineapple sun glasses. There is two more to look at also.

I coloured her with copics used Glossy Accents on her glasses, really old HOTP paper (I think) and some text strips. The weather is certainly not Pool Party weather here, we've had rain for a full week, I popped to see my Dad this morning (he's in my bubble) and the roads were treacherous
