The Crafters Cafe Challenge Make it sparkle

Hiya, well I don't know about you but I really enjoyed our hop.
This week at The Paper Shelter the theme is
"ANYTHING GOES"
But this time the challenge will last for three weeks, so the DT can have a well earned break over the Christmas period


I decided to use Christmas Elf, coloured with copics and lashings of glitter, the papers are from Dovecraft, the little wooden tree I coloured with copics and stuck clear gems on, the sentiment is made on my computer .

The Crafter's Cafe Challenge #

Hi there, I know 2 posts in one day!!! I'll be getting a nose bleed soon.

The Paper Shelter 3rd Birthday Hop


Good Morning fellow crafter's and welcome to The Paper Shelter Blog Hop and this is in celebration of their reaching their 3rd Birthday on December 8th. It will be a two week Challenge and both Design Teams are taking part.

The Paper Shelter #139

Hi there, wow it is sooooo cold here, heating has defo gone on this week. 
But it's lovely and warm in my Bats Cave, which is a good job as I'm so behind with my Christmas card orders. 
This week at The paper shelter The theme is
" Shopping Spree"
Well I'm sure there's plenty of that going on at the moment.

I've combined two images for this one, the girls are Sharing a rainy day and the shopping bags are from Shopping Girl My Hubby is a bit of a wiz on photoshop and cut and pasted them on for me.
I coloured with copics, used glitter on the trim, Dovecraft papers, cream ribbon, a new butterfly die that I seem to have gone overboard on, a pearl slider and the butterflies have little pearls on.

The Crafters Cafe Challenge, Friends

Hi there, we have a great theme at The crafters cafe challenge this week it's
"FRIENDS"
we all need to let our friends know how much we appreciate them and what better time than at Christmas, so I chose this gorgeous snowman friends from qkr stampede who are very generously sponsoring us.


I coloured with copics, used glitter on the snowman and ground, bazill basics card, ,,papers, a giant brad with rub on from HOTP some gold pearls from The Hobby House.

The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Favorite Things

Hi there, this week at The crafters cafe the theme is
"FAVORITE CRAFT THINGS"
Mines Cobweb ribbon.
this card is perfect for me as I just Loooove my cups of tea, I can't get started untill I've had a couple of mugs, lol, also I got to use my copics, which is another, and I've cheated a bit aswell this colour green is my Mum's fave colour at the moment, even her dog blanket is this green, I'm not sure that Billy her dog entirely agrees with her though,

Hi there, were does the time go, it doesn't seem two weeks since my last TCCCB DT post

The Paper Shelter #130

Well I feel a right numpty, two weeks ago I said my goodbyes as I'm leaving the paper shelter, only to find I had my dates wrong and I had one more challenge left, and I'm so pleased as this weeks challenge is 
"SEWING REAL OR FAUX"

 When I made this box it was blowing a gale and very Autumonial (is that a real word?)
so I chose one of my fave (they are all my faves really) images Autumn is coming ( which is on sale at the moment so grab it while you can) I coloured her with copics. I bought the box from The Word it was only £1.99, I used bazill basics, K&Co paper, my Fiskars border punch, spellbinders , paper flowers from my stash that I coloured with copics on the edges, blue embroidery thread and pearl beads

Amelie's naming day 2

Hi there, here is the little box I made for Amelie, at the moment it holds a little silver box for her to put her first tooth in when it falls out, ready for the tooth fairy, with that in mind I decided to use Summer fairy from Wee stamps, my new addiction, lol, the insides come out so she can use it as a keepsake box for all her little treasures, when she comes to stay with her Nannar.



I coloured her with copics and Sakura glitter pens, her wings have 3D laquer on, I used   papers and kraft card to mount it on, the leaves are cut from kraft using Marianne dies, theres paper roses from my stash. and spellbinders ornate oval.

Amelie's naming Day

Hi there, I'm sorry I haven't posted for a while, lifes been a bit manic of late, lots of extra work on.
Plusa great day at my Granddaughter Amelie's naming day. She was a star, such a placid baby, never cried once and she was held by nearly everyone during the day.
It's the first naming day I've been to and I thoroughly enjoyed it, so relaxed.

Here is the easel card I made for them using a Wee stamp called Wee One
I'm new to Wee stamps but I have the feeling I'm going to be addicted I have four now, if I get time tomorrow I will post the little box I made her using another Wee stamp




 I coloured it with copics , used Maja Road papers,pearl brads, cream lace, paper flowers and leaves, spellbinders, Memory box corner swirl (I cut the middle bits out) LOTV sentiment stamp, pearls and a silver teddy charm.

Hi there , this weeks theme at The crafter's cafe challenge blog is
"NO DESIGNER PAPER"

just because I love to see them, we have them in the corn fields near home and the mixture of the bright red and burnt gold is truly beautiful


I coloured with copics, used an embossing folder on the pearl white card, spellbinders ornate oval, red gems and a bit of red ribbon from my stash.

Morning, another great theme at The paper shelter this week,
"Sun, Moon and Stars"

The image I chose is The Lovely Ballerina 
That I coloured with copics, used some old card i had with gold stars on, some gold card for mounting, ribbon, paper flowers and leaves, and a silver charm that I coloured with my copics.

The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog #26

Hi there, this week at The crafter's cafe the theme is
"EMBOSSING dry or wet"

I chose Catleya Tangleberry isn't that a marvelous name.


I used both dry and wet embossing on this card.
I popped the lilac paper through an embossing folder then the raised section I wet embossed with kaleidoscope embossing powder. I also embossed the bird and mushroom.

Friday Sketch Challenge #50

Hi there, it's time for the reminder card at friday sketch challenge and the lovely Janine designed our sketch.

I used Jules from saturated canary that I coloured with my copics and paperpearls, distress ink round the edge, My Nesties, where would I be without them, Basic Grey papers, a selection of paper leaves and roses.
Were having brilliant weather here in the UK, but I can't believe how quick the nights are drawing in, it was dark for 9.00 last night, but we had a beautiful red sky. I keep forgetting to take a photo of it.

Make it crafty DT


Hi there, one of my favorite digi shops is make it crafty , they sell the most amazing images, also they are very big in tutorials, with you tube video's and ebooks, all the DT's are so talented and also very helpful.
Well make it crafty are looking for a group of like minded people that would like to DT for there Facebook page, I wouldn't dream of applying for the proper DT as I'm still very much learning to master my copics, but I feel I could maybe chat on facebook, with the lovely followers,
The piece I made for you above is using cobblestone-path I coloured with my copics, used First edition papers and bazill cardstock with a memory box die.

The Paper Shelter Ribbon

Morning all, hope your all well and happy, if not we have a great challenge for you at The paper shelter this week, it's all about ribbons, 
"Use that Ribbon"
now that's sure to cheer you up.


I chose Vintage Seamstress to colour up, I used my copics as usual and I've just had a count up and I actually used 5 different ribbons, thick cream, pull up cream, tape measure ribbon and two on the bobbins,
the papers are new leaf from first edition, a heart doily i coloured with pink distress ink,paper flowers and leaves from my stash and some brand new never been out the box before dies the dress dummy and cotton bobbins.

I've only just noticed I forgot to put my 3 pearls on the side, must of been a senior moment, you will just have to imagine they are there.

Friday Sketch Challenge #48 reminder

Hi there, I must say it was weird making a Christmas card in a heatwave, I thought it might cool me down,,,,,,No
We had an almighty thunderstorm the other night and also discovered we had a hole in the roof , directly above my paper stock in my Bats cave , so 11,30 we were moving all my stash from one room to another, the roofer was coming today to replace my roof but guess what it was raining so they had to postpone until tomorrow, hope it stays dry tonight I have so many bowls and buckets in my room theres no where left to walk.
